The origins of the estate date back to 1846 with the sixth generation currently tending the estate since 2015. The Michel family is part of the new wave of producers that are farming more consciously, lowering yields and producing dry style wines that the domestic (and international) market craves. Although they have no legal certification, they have converted their vineyards to organic. This orange wine is composed of 75% müller thurgau, 5% sankt laurent, 15% riesling, and 5% grauer burgunder from vines aged between 22-28 years old planted in calcareous clay soils. The juice and skins were macerated for 8 weeks, giving it a decent tannin structure. The flavors are clean and dry, with hints of dried stone fruits and orange peel. Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
